Mountain View Cemetery
Beaver, Utah

Mountain View Cemetery, also called Beaver City Cemetery, is located at about 450 North 600 East in Beaver, Beaver County, Utah. The cemetery can be entered along 600 North at about 550 East and 600 East. The official entrance and parking for the cemetery is off of 400 North at about 500 East. The cemetery has over four thousand burials, though locations of about four hundred of these are unknown.1 This is where Theodore Turley is buried along with his fifth wife, Ruth Jane Giles. Other burials are noteworthy for descendants of Isaac Turley, son of Theodore Turley and Frances Kimberley. The parents of Isaac Turley’s two wives, Sarah Greenwood and Clara Ann Tolton, are also buried in Mountain View Cemetery.

For many years, Theodore Turley’s grave was unmarked. In 1997, the Theodore Turley Family Organization raised funds and placed a headstone for Theodore Turley and several of his family members buried in that cemetery. For more information on how Theodore Turley’s descendants located Theodore’s grave in the 1990s, check out our Special Projects page.
