- 26 January 1839 meeting minutes – Theodore Turley is appointed to a committee to assess the needs of members regarding evacuation.
- 29 January 1839 meeting minutes – Theodore Turley is appointed to the committee on removal.
- 29 January 1839 covenant to assist the evacuation of members with Theodore Turley’s signature.

- 1839-1840 Wilford Woodruff’s Journals. Theodore Turley accompanied members of the Twelve Apostles, including Wilford Woodruff, on their mission to England in 1840. Wilford Woodruff’s journals are now also available at the new Wilford Woodruff Papers website.

Records from Nauvoo, Illinois (1839-1846)
- 1840 United States Federal Census (Hancock County, Illinois). The 1840 U.S. census was taken in Nauvoo in March 1841.
- 1842 Nauvoo Stake Census. This census of church members was taken in late 1841 & early 1842. Theodore’s family was enumerated in the fourth ward. The older members of the family are on image 35. The younger members of the family, those under age eight, are on image 36.
- 1843 Nauvoo Neighbor advertisement for Theodore Turley’s brewery.
- 1844 deed from Joseph Smith for Theodore’s property on Lot 4 of Block 147 in Nauvoo. Theodore and his family had resided on this property since the spring of 1839, but the official deed wasn’t issued until several years later.

- 1848 Letter from Theodore Turley to Brigham Young. Theodore’s August 1848 letter was likely written from Kanesville, Iowa.1

- 1849 Letter from Silas Richards to Brigham Young giving a status report on their journey to Salt Lake City (transcript and original). This letter mentions Theodore Turley among the company members. - 1850 Salt Lake City Cemetery record.
