- Eliza Clift’s 1859 divorce affidavit from George Summerfield appears to suggest her daughter, Emma, was originally a twin and the daughter from her first husband, George G. Fidler. Emma was born in Galena, Illinois, on 6 January 1847 according to her gravestone, and the 1850 U.S. census indicates that she was born in 1845. See Eliza Clift Divorce Affidavits.
- FamilySearch. It appears that the location was estimated by a Theodore Turley descendant based on the location of the Turley family during their exodus from Nauvoo. Does anyone know where the 6 March 1846 date comes from?
